Add Custom Ticket Fields

You may want to add new, custom fields to your Assembla tickets.

To add a custom field

  1. In Assembla, select Tickets Settings > Ticket Fields.

  2. Scroll down to Custom Fields, and click New Custom Field.

  3. Now you can choose the title and type of custom field (Text, Numeric, List, Team list, Date, Date Time, Checkbox). If you want designate this field as required, check the Required box, and then type a default value. If you don't need a field right now, but are planning to use it in future, you may hide it by checking the Hide box.

Editing custom fields

You can edit everything on a custom field except its type.

To edit a custom field

  1. In Assembla, select Tickets Settings > Ticket Fields.

  2. Scroll down to Custom Fields, and then click Edit of the custom field you want to edit.

  3. Make the appropriate changes, and then click Update.

Removing custom fields

You can remove a custom field, just note that this action is irreversible.

To remove a custom field

  1. In Assembla, select Tickets Settings > Ticket Fields.

  2. Scroll down to Custom Fields, and then click the Remove icon of the custom field you want to remove.

  3. Confirm this action.
