A ticket "follower" receives email alerts about all changes related to that ticket. For example, comments made by other users, files added to a ticket, status changes, etc.

Adding followers when creating a ticket

When a user creates a ticket, that user along with the person to whom the ticket is assigned are automatically added as followers.

Adding yourself as a follower from the Ticket List

If you want to follow a certain ticket or set of tickets, you can do so by going to the Ticket List of your space. Then, click on the star located next to the ticket number. All of the tickets you are following are marked with a yellow star. If you want to stop following a certain ticket, just click again on the star. Tickets that you don't follow are shown with a grey star.

Note: You cannot un-follow a ticket to which you are assigned. You first need to be un-assigned. When you are assigned a ticket, the follower star is red.

Adding and removing followers from the edit ticket page

To add a follower to an existing ticket from the edit ticket page

  1. Click the ticket to which you want to add followers.

  2. Click the Followers tab, and type the Assembla username or email address of the user.

  3. In the same tab, you can remove a user from the follower list. Click the X icon next to the user, and user is removed from the followers list.
