Add Custom Ticket Fields

If you need to add new fields to your Assembla Tickets, just follow these steps:

  1. Go to Tickets tool > Settings > Ticket Fields of your space.

  2. Scroll down to Custom Fields and click on the New Custom Field button.

  3. Now you can choose the title and type of custom field (Text, Numeric, List, Team list, Date, Date Time, Checkbox). If you want this field to be a required field, just check the box next to Required. If you don't need a field right now, but are planning to use it in future, you may hide it by checking the 'Hide' checkbox.

  4. You will be required to choose a default value for it if it is a Required field.

Edit custom fields

You can edit everything on a custom field except its type. To edit it just follow these steps:

  1. Go to Tickets tool > Settings > Ticket Fields of your space.

  2. Scroll down to Custom Fields and click on the Edit link of the custom field you want to edit..

  3. You can edit the title, options (if any), default value and the required and hide checkboxes.

  4. Once your changes are made just click on the Update button to save them or Cancel to discard your unsaved changes.

Remove custom fields

  1. Go to Tickets tool > Settings > Ticket Fields of your space.

  2. Scroll down to Custom Fields and click on the Remove icon of the custom field you want to edit..

  3. You will be ask to confirm this action. If you are sure of this action just accept, if you are not you can cancel it.

Note: This action is irreversible.
