LDAP can be configured during the configuration step of the Assembla Private Cloud installation (see the Standard Install Guide for more details)

To configure LDAP, enter the Host, Port (the default is 389), LDAP Base DN (usually it’s something like ou=People,dc=example,dc=com), and the LDAP Domain (this is optional)

Private Cloud offers limited LDAP authentication - only login is supported and roles and permissions are not available, therefore permission setting tools available in the app (such as protected branches or directories) will not work with this solution

  • No mentions
  • No team management
  • No real space/team mapping
  • Users added to Assembla will be able to create SSH keys for any repository in the account and access said repository. Currently there is no way to limit that access with LDAP
